PepZin GI combines the mineral zinc and the amino peptide L-carnosine to protect all parts of the stomach. Generally, a thin layer of gel-like mucus protects the stomach lining from its own caustic gastric juices. Data show that the combination of ingredients in PepZin GI cannot be easily resorbed and destroyed by the strong gastric juices so it is able to fortify the mucosal barrier as it adheres to the stomach wall.
